CHOCOLATE CAKE: This dessert at realfood.tesco.com is a total treat.
Beat together eight eggs until doubled in volume.
Gently melt together 225g unsalted butter and 450g chopped dark chocolate.

Cool slightly then fold in the eggs.
Pour into a lined 20cm cake tin and wrap the outside of the tin in foil.
Place in a large roasting tin one-third filled with boiling water.
Bake for an hour at 160C, fan 140C, or until a skewer comes out clean.

FLATBREADS: Enjoy these tasty mini-breads with dips or as a side with soup.
Mix 250g self-raising flour, 2 tbsp sunflower oil and 150ml water to make a soft dough.
Divide into six balls, rest for five minutes and squash each ball into a circle.
Brush with oil, sprinkle with herbs or spices and then fry in a hot pan until golden.
COOKIES: You can add sprinkles before baking.
Cream together 100g butter and 70g sugar and then stir in 120g flour.
Roll the mixture into balls, then flatten them slightly and space them out on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 180C until the edges turn golden.
PIZZA: In his Cheat’s Deep Pan Pizza, cooked in a frying pan, chef Jamie Oliver uses just three ingredients for the base.
The mix of flour, salt and water is topped with sausage, onions and cheese.

SHORTBREAD: This just requires sugar, butter and flour.
A 1.5kg bag of plain flour is 80p at Asda, where 200g Anchor butter is £1.60 and 1kg caster sugar is £1.65.
Using 150g flour, 100g butter and 50g sugar, you can bake a batch of biscuits for less than £1.
